how many times to hear a song

two months ago, i challenged myself to find a boyfriend online. in the short time between now and its inauguration, i have been proposed for sex daily! not to mention, ive been on a few dates, all of which were train wrecks, and the expectation that i was going to bring the condoms. im in the fucking twilight zone.

starting with the daily propositions, i was offered $100 to drive a couple blocks west and find a _____ waiting for me. im not a prostitute. i was offered $100 to just use my hands. im not in high school. i was offered $200 to drive the same two blocks. hm, you know what i could with $200?! i finally declined; i ran out of excuses.

last nite, i was proposed by a different guy, back for a second time. apparently, i could come over right away but i would have to bring the _______. not only do i have to shell out the cash for these things, but i have to play the guessing game.

**FAIL**

ive got stories, but theyre served better with drinks and old friends. kris is coming into town and made plans for going to the lake on sunday. im excited to see kris, thus, i go.

three and a half years (only)

ive been looking for these photos for YEARS. i found out this past christmas/new year that dana has had them the entire time; the poor quality is due to the film enduring endless summers in the garage. welcome to arizona.

the weekend in LA was insane. im still not in memphis, im back in the desert. cancer mom remains bored in the hospital (so i called her and complained about my life) and she listened. what an awesome lady (i know, she's lucky to have me).

i did my usual escapades: gardenburger or BLT @ astroburger, slept on kris' couch, saw a show @ UCB theatre, went LA sightseeing (this weekend it was the getty center), and spent $75 @ amoeba. i had a great time seeing, smelling, touching, standing in unspeakable things- only in LA. i love memphis, but i love LA. maybe ill live there long enough to get sick of it. its a good place and i dont know how people could hate it. my philosophy: just dont die there.
